Beans Beauty is a family business that has been in operation since 1980. My name is Michael Batt and I am the owner & founder. I have been a hairdresser since 1978. My passion is "state-of-the-art beauty, through quality product and services." Our business has grown over the years, from a humble start in our garage to stores and salons in Philadelphia, Wayne and Doylestown Pa.
Our store in Philadelphia's is located on one of the most fashionable streets in the city, "Main Street" in Manayunk. What you'll find in Manayunk is a beautifully restored historic area with many shops, restaurants and of course Beans Beauty. This store is our 1st and perhaps our best-known. We have an incredible supply of all of the best that beauty has to offer. Whether you're looking for Hair Tools, Haircare, Skincare, Bodycare, Nailcare, Makeup... we've got it all - and we have the best. If you're ever in Manayunk please stop by and visit.
The second floor in Manayunk is home to the Studio Salon, a carefully conceived salon providing hair and skincare services. This concept of "Store, Salon and Supplier" is what makes us unique and well-rounded. We understand the whole realm. Because we supply salons with our product lines, we have the edge and we know the trends. We know what the hot salons are doing. Our Studio Salon is where great hair is observed and maintained. It's a fabulous space without pretense and loaded with talent.
Our 2nd store and salon is in Wayne Pa., located on the well known "Main Line". Like our original store, once inside you'll know you're at a Beans Beauty. We exhibit the same focus to products and services, well represented by a fabulous staff. This store was opened in 2001 and helped to broaden our presence in the marketplace. Wayne is a charming community of shops and restaurants, with a strong sense of community. This is a real American town, and we're proud to be a part.
In 2007 we opened our 3rd store and salon, located in Doylestown, Bucks County, PA. Again the feeling and look says Beans Beauty. We were able to create our best showcase to date with this store with the careful planning the strongest aesthetic and yes, the same unequaled staff. Doylestown is a charming town filled with great dining and shopping. We're happy to be an addition to a town that's already a great find.
In 2009 we introduce our flagship, Beans Center City. (Center City 1733 Chestnut St. Phila. Pa. 19103) This store and salon will cater to our long waiting Center City clientèle. For all my years in business we've had our customers asking "when you going to open in the city?". Now we've arrived. We put all our best planning as well as our souls into this bright and wonderful location. Directly across the street from DeBrunos specialty foods and next door to South Moon Under and Levinthal Handbags. Our sales team is going to offer the same "best service" available anywhere and our product mix will always be evolving as we search for the newest and the best. Our staff is our greatest strength at Beans. Each individual makes the magic happen. Most of us are hairdressers and all of us are passionate about what we do. We all have the ability to communicate and enhance our customer's understanding of the services we provide and the products we represent.
